Title: Trying to locate Royce Grey's old racer
Post by: thegreenelec on November 23, 2009, 22:20:46
We are currently trying to locate Royce Grey's old car, we know he sold it in 98' or 99' together with Andrew Lees car to someone who has never raced them since. Any ideas?
As this is the 20th annervisary of the first 24 hour race we were hoping to have it back running in early 90's condition.

Can anyone help

Paul

The bodywork of the very rusty one that we bought last year was apparently from Royce's car; the rolling gear had been Gary Byatt's, I believe. We bought it from Alex Mair's widow; it had last turned a wheel in the 1998 24hr at Mondello when they were heavily penalised for having a hooky engine. It went back to East Kilbride - ish and never moved from where it was dumped until we turned up..
