We have been invited to put a car on the BARC stand at the autosport show ,Simon Crook has kindly agreed to take his car ,however to make this happen we need at least two people to man the stand each day.
If you are willing to help please reply to this post saying which day you could attend.

Thank you
Paul

Well, I've got to rejoin the club (  :-[ ) but, if it helps, I could do the Saturday or Sunday.

Or, maybe a bit of both?

We better get our finger out and clean all the c**p out of the race car from Snetterton, and give it a clean!

Paul do you want the car in normal race mode or with the 24hr add ons?

Paul:

If BARC would agree, we could use our display system to create a feature back wall for Simon's car. I suggest that it could be L-shaped, 2m x 1m and about 2.5m high. It would have three panels each app 1m wide on each of the surfaces, ie, 6 panels in total, plus header panels. There could be three different graphics, repeated on the other side. One for the Championship, one for the 24hr and one for the Club.

If there is a power supply nearby, we could add lighting.

Let me know in good time if you want to go ahead with it.

Paul / Phil:

Nick Roads and I are working on a Club hand-out sheet, which is in addition to the BARC sheet which Dale Wells is producing. We can produce 500 - would that be enough?

I'm also working on a neat double-sided display stand with Club info and pics (kindly supplied by Maria Cooke) on it, to position by the car. I can have it ready for the morning of the day before the show and our warehouse is only 20 mins from NEC, near Birmingham City ground. What actual day / date is build-up day? I could take it along, but as passes will be in short supply I could hand it to anyone who might be passing.

The display stand will need to be uplifted and returned to me at the end of the show on the Sunday evening - the structure system is quite expensive. I'm very flexible as to how that might be done.

Hi Martin I could pick it up en-route to dropping the car off (subject to being ok with Phil) if that helps, getting it back may be the only difficult thing for me, as we as I believe have to have the race car out of the NEC on Sunday Night after the show finishes

Simon:

If you can call in and pick up the display panel, I can show you how it goes together. Address is Lion, 148 Garrison Street, B9 4BN. We'll also have the leaflets ready. I'll expect you during the morning of 12th.

Then, on Sunday night I'll come down to the NEC and collect it from the stand after the show - no pass is needed then.

2CVParts.com are confirmed as the Championship series sponsor for 2011. Do you have a sticker to go across the bonnet, above the grille? You should also have a Toyo Tires sticker somewhere prominent on each side of the car.

Hi Martin will see you then, all the Ecas stickers are in place (mine are under the grill and above and below door numbers), Toyo ones I have asked Phil for.

Ola from Sunny Tenerife - We had a lot of interest at the NEC yesterday, whilst we were on the BARC stand yesterday,  the race car that attracted the most interest was our car - as Ainsley can confirm we had alot of bums on the seat of the car wanting photos - although we didnt get any of the Grid girls over :P

I am sure that we will get further pictures, but until then heres one from the set up day
