Post by: Matty on February 17, 2014, 18:29:55
Hey, heard a rumour Anglesey hasn't got a licence for a 24hr race, can anyone shine some light on this

Strange that such an important and far-reaching comment has attracted no replies.  Anyone?

Why do you think the BARC would organise a 24hr race at a circuit that doesn't have a license to run one? I can't see it myself, I think they must know something.

Only just seen this post and not aware of any problems with a licence.

Once I have all the times and access details which Anglesey are due to confirm in next couple of weeks will put out a 24 Hour newsletter.

As far as I have heard, there is no such thing as a "24 hour licence". Someone I know spoke to a representative from the circuit at the race retro show, and confirmed that the circuit does have the appropriate planning permission to stage the race.

As Paul said, the BARC have done this a few times - they aren't stupid.
