Title: 2CV Feature in Motorsport magazine
Post by: Martin Harrold on December 03, 2018, 23:11:58
I've just seen the great editorial feature on 2CV racing in the new edition of MotorSport magazine. It's really well written and Simon's comments and input are spot on. There is even a half-page ad for our racing. Well done to all those involved in setting it all up.

It's a shame the same wasn't replicated in the Motorsport UK (MSA) magazine last week, as there is a whole feature on budget racers, the C1s being the main part of the story, but absolutely no mention of 2CVs whatsoever. I'm not blaming anyone at all, I just wondered if anyone was aware there was going to be a piece like this in that magazine? If not, I would be happy to try and contact the editor and see whether he could let us have a bit of exposure too, perhaps by explaining how we have revamped the Classique class and explain how one set of tyres in either class can last a whole season and cost less than £100!!

No contact from BARC that I know of, Matt. Go for it!
I'm looking forward to getting my Motorsport mag in the post. Couldn't find a copy in any of the local shops.

Matt:
The editor of the MSA magazine is Robert Ladbrook. The same Robert who organised and wrote the feature in Motorsport and which included the 2+ pages on our 2CV racing. He's been very helpful in allowing us to include the article in the next 2CV Club Newsletter, hopefully going out this week. C1's do seem to get more that their fair share of press promo, but we probably do rather better on social media.
There is always promotional work to do, and it has to be planned a long way ahead.
