Chris Yates

I've been asked to post this on behalf of Aubrey:

A number of people failed to complete all of the administrative paperwork for Silverstone.
In particular all drivers must be:

1.    members of the Classic 2CV Club (Day or Full);
2.    members of BARC; and
3.    registered for the Championship.

If you have co-driver it is your responsibility to ensure they comply.
For the avoidance of doubt your Committee unanimously agreed that it would wholly inappropriate to penalise anyone at Silverstone who failed through an oversight to comply, provided that they do so by Pembrey.

It has been suggested that anyone who did not comply should lose all points. Having examined the facts which are by no means clear cut we do not believe that such a penalty is really appropriate. Furthermore we are trying to promote a club for friends to go racing and that whilst it may be appropriate for Ferrari to win races in the court room we would hope that our members would rather win on the track.
