Paul Robertson was asking about this - so I'll post it here for everyone:

If you click on the "Reply" button at the bottom of where the posts are, then click 'Additional Options', it should allow you to attach a file. This will allow you to upload a picture to the forum, and will be displayed at the bottom of your post.

Alternatively, if you've uploaded a picture to something like Photobucket, Imageshack, Flickr, or any other picture hosting company - you can put "[ img][ /img]"  (without spaces) around the URL of the picture, and it will show the picture directly in your post. I.e.

produces this:

You can also click the "insert image" button on the reply screen, which is on the 2nd row of buttons, 2nd one in - this will add the [ img] tags for you.

Think I have sorted out the problem, the picture I have is 1.3mb is that too BIG to post, just need to work out how to reduce it!

If I could recommend a program to resize pictures, I would say try this one:

http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDownload.htm

Download the FastStone Image Viewer. View the picture you want to resize, then click the Edit menu and select Resize. Choose a suitable width such as 400 pixels, and as long as you have 'Preserve aspect ratio' ticked, it will work out the height for you. Once you've done this, save the file as a .JPG. This should guarantee that the picture is the right 'size' for the forum.

Alternatively, upload the picture to something like Photobucket, Imageshack, Flickr, etc., which provide tools for you to resize the picture for forums automatically, and provide a link to a bigger version.

Not sure why your avatar vanished, to be honest - I thought you might have removed it yourself!

Resize a suitable picture of you to 100 pixels wide by 100 pixels high, then save as a .jpg, then click on 'Profile' at the very top of the screen, then click "Forum Profile Information", then select "I will upload my own picture", press the browse button, select the picture you saved, click 'open', then at the bottom of the page click "Change Profile" - job done :)
