We're pleased to announce this year's commentary team, as follows:

Lewis Beales, local motoring journo and great friend of the 24hr, and who's been commentating on it since the first event at Snetterton.
Mark Werrell, very experienced motor racing commentator, who has covered the 24hr in years past.
Tony Coales, another very experienced racing commentator. He's also a corner marshal at Le Mans, so knows just what it's like at 3am.
Jon Waldock, a student who joined the team last year as a newbie, quickly established himself and now steps up.

In addition, club stalwarts Ainslie Bousefield and Chris Yates will be adding their own experience and special charms to the commentary from time to time.

Yet again, the full live commentary will be broadcast on Radio Fine Print, 87.7fm. And, for the second year running, the commentary will be put out as a webcast on this site. Efforts, led by Chris Yates, are continuing to try to add a live in-car video feed to the webcast.

We are indebted to our generous lead sponsors, including 'Professional Motor Sport World Expo', 'Crusader Vans' and 'Lion Fine Print' and others for their support which is making the radio and webcast possible. There is room for more. For just £250 we'll broadcast a sponsors message every hour and offer other opportunities for promotion. Contact [email protected] to learn more.

The commentary will be broadcast from the commentary box over race control, as usual. New this year is that we'll have a production office in what is normally the Stewards Room, on the first floor of Race Control. Feel free to call in there during the race with news or just to arrange a chat with the commentators. They'd also love the opportunity to talk with marshals and track officials who can spare five minutes. There will be the roving mike in the pit lane, so everyone listening will hear what is actually going on from those working in the pitlane.

And, finally, do remember to take a decent FM radio with you to the circuit. We have had a stock of ear radios for a while, but that has now dwindled, and those that are left will be given to our friends the marshals.

Oh, and if you are wondering what's happened to our good friends Alan Hyde and Matt James (who managed to talk about absolutely nothing during five hours of fog last year) they are otherwise engaged at the clashing BTCC meeting at Silverstone.
