I have been trying to acheive an effective leaf free mounting of the carb to manifold joint. It all started with one Keith Shoebridges engines at Snet that we didnt effectively cure. I've just started on my engines and its even worse! The adapter plate fits in such a way that there is almost 1mm of gap over the counter sunk screw head - thats an awful lot a lot of gasket goo. The leak is so bad the engine barley runs. Is that the correct way of fitting? Also the adapter plate shrouds the carb throughts badly. I presume we just flow them into the manifold? Any body got any ideas?
