Running a Solex at Mallory

This is mainly a heads up for the newcomers who are running Solex carbs.  The first corner at Mallory is so long that it will cause fuel starvation and effectively ruin your weekend, even if you have the engine shimmed on an angle.  To get round this, you need to machine a spare carb block to roughly half thickness on the off-side, naturally by way of a slope as opposed to a step!  This will then tilt the carb over enough to avoid fuel starvation.  It is a permitted modification in the regs.
