Great time at Spa in the bitter cold for the UK contingent.
Rained all day for testing Friday and then started snowing around 10 pm.
55 2CV based cars and a few Smarts (some UK teams) were in the 24 Hour race for 2012.

PSL TUGZI (Myatt Hybrid) was being rebuilt most of the night.

Saturday was fine but cold. PSL TUGZI started well but gremlins set in. Eventually had to retire around half way through the race.
Old Time Racing (Dalkin and Gang) never quite got the speed they wanted but were largely reliable and finished a very creditable 15th and 4th Prototype.

In the UK class Rosie racing won the inaugral (hopefully!)class. One engine change and some light problems during the race but they ended 24th. Crisis had one engine go after 2 hours and then a proper blown engine and fire after 6 hours. Marshalls used most of their powder supplies on the car down at Stavelot even thought the onboard extinguisher had put the fire out. We did at least get a quick tow back from the fire truck. After some dusting it was on with the 3rd and final engine which lasted for the rest of the race. We ended up 2 laps behind Rosie in 27th. Mission led the class at one point but were suffering brake problems as well as Carb frosting. 18 hours into the race driver comes into pit lane and literally has no brakes. Ends up in the wall at the bottom of the Old pits which bends the chassis at the front .. race over for them.

Pete Sparrow in Car 22 came in for the first driver change in 2nd place. Alec Graham took over and the car was 1st for a brief period. On the 3rd driver change to a Belgian driver car was towed back in 3 laps later with a broken chassis (car had been welded up night before). They manage to fix the car but it was not the same and they ended up 36th.
