A couple of people have asked where the UK Hybrid regulations are. They can be found here: http://www.2cvracing.org.uk/joinus/ at the bottom of the page is a link to the .pdf file.

Tyres were not in the proposal to the agm.

Create a UK Hybrid class for racing in Europe ONLY.
To allow for European Endurance racing a UK Club Class car fitted with a 1100cc BMW horizontally opposed twin, air cooled engine from a motorbike (R1100RS etc) to have a clearly defined set of regulations.
This class is only for European racing and it is NOT proposed to be allowed to compete in UK race series or championship.
Class differences from Club class are:
1.   2 cylinder BMW R series 1100 RS as a replacement for 602 cc engine. Wiring to be free but engine to use unmodified ECU which comes with bike.
2.   Dyane/ 2CV gearbox (8:31 differential). Bell housing modifications to allow for 10 mm shortening.
3.   We do not see that mounting is required under the technical regulations but if these are required can provide drawings. We are using 3 main mounts/ plates which fit within and on standard chassis.
4.   Modified (from BWM original) inlet manifold so that the throttle body can easily mount air filters
5.   2CVRT air restrictor on the throttle body to keep the power reasonable for the car
6.   A class specific exhaust system from BMW engine to run to left hand side of car and then free to any exhaust as for 2CV. We can provide detailed photos for these if required.
7.   A new spacer from BMW original and gearbox adapter plate. 2cv flywheel as per UK regs would need different location holes.
8.   Any fuel system to provide fuel injection but this must work with standard 2cv tank. Typically 2 fuel pumps, swirl pot and it requires a return line to tank.
9.   We will need to have a modified braking system – discs, calipers and pads.
