You may have seen this at the bottom of the recent email concerning technical proposals to the AGM. If not, please read below:

If you have a current championship car, please provide the following information to the secretary by 5pm on Thursday 16th November at 54 Greenfields, St. Martins, Near Oswestry, England, SY11 3AH or by email to: [email protected]

Seats:-
The minimum distance between the seat and roll cage
The external dimension of the widest part of the seat
The external width of the base of the seat
The distance between the fore / aft centre line of the seat and the fore/aft centre line of the chassis
All dimensions in mm

Seat support / sub frames: -
If you have a frame in your car please provide photographs of the frame from the front, rear and each side.  If you have additional support under the floor of the car, please also provide photographs of that.  Please also include the dimensions and material of your frame and any sub structure..

It's in everyone's best interests to respond to this in detail, as to make sure that any rules we put in place for seat frames do not inadvertently make any car illegal. If you know of someone who has a car that has perhaps not raced in recent years, please pass this on to them so they may also reply.

Chris:  I don't recall seeing any recent email on the technical proposals. But the request for info on seat frames (possibly better described as a raised floor structure to avoid seat bracket homologation issues) is noted and we will gather and send the info.  Martin

Hmmm why?
when someone does a survey there's something afoot

Hope its to do with safety as ive seen one seat installation that shouldn't have been on the track, if its to do with squabbling about percieved advantage then there's nothing in the regs...if i could find a suitable driver the seat would be in the middle at the back as thats where the "soft ballast" needs to be ( safer too!), but regs on pedal position makes this difficult ;D
