hey all
just wondering where can i get all the regs for building an economy class car aka suspension exhaust and other information also been reading about seat frames and things how should i go about that any info is great

Eco class differences are usually marked out.

These are the current regs - changes for next year are still to be approved come the AGM which will be held on the 19th of this month.

Where are you based ? Usually the best place to learn about the cars is by having one in front of you! Based on your username I'm going to guess you're around the Bourne, Lincs area? There's a chap with a race car in Lincoln, and possibly one in Grantham. Might be worth going to have a look.

Seat frame: currently there's nothing in our regs specifying a frame, but quite a few cars have them. Ultimately though any seat fixture should conform to section K2.2 of the 'blue book' (the MSA rules), which you can see here: https://www.msauk.org/assets/156-195commonregulationsforcompetitorssafetyk-3.pdf

i am going to get my dad (barry) to help sort it out as it is his old race car im going to use.
was only inquiring about what i was or wasnt allowed but now i have the links it will be a little step further
