Initial timetable for Donnington shows all 2CV activity will be on the Sunday. It is a shame that, following the publicity on Top Gear, we are losing out on 50% of exposure to a "new" audience by only racing on one day (Brands and Donnington).

On the flipside, the truck racing at Donington will attract a HUGE crowd. Possibly 20,000 or more. And Sunday's the best day.

Katy Storey

Will be great to share a weekend with the trucks again.

Rest assured it is something I am going to ask about for next season, as we all enjoy the social side of 2cv Racing too!

There is going to be a BBQ/food on the Saturday night of Donington for those racing on Sunday 22 July along with crew. Katy will contact entrants for numbers, all welcome as ever to come along and catch up with us there.

The Club and MSV have laid on quite a few attractions outside of the 2CV paddock for non racers. https://doningtonpark.msv.com/DP-18-Convoy

To quote the marketing..

Get ready for the ultimate festival of all things Trucking and 2CV, as Convoy in the Park returns for a second successive year at Donington Park.

This is one of the world's biggest celebrations of the road's largest vehicles, with stunning on track action from a packed grid of racing trucks, as well as huge display areas featuring thousands of pristine HGVs and slightly fewer 2CV's.

A perfect event for all the family, visitors will also be able to enjoy brilliant off track attractions including stunt shows, live music, strongman challenges, children's entertainers and plenty of trade stands. Plus there's a chance to get involved with monster truck rides and truck driving experiences or to sit in a race 2CV.

Tickets are expensive at £ 35 on the gate for the weekend or £ 25 for the Sunday, cheaper in advance.

We used to get the end-of-season truck meeting at Donington - prior to format changes - and it was always fun.
