Here's a scary thought!!! (only 18 wks to the 24 hr race)

I was really busy at work yesterday afternoon, so thoughts turned to the season ahead. Here is what I thought of.

As of 16.00 tomorrow (Sunday 21st January) it will be exactly 18 weeks til the start of the 24 Hor Race. Factor in that this weekend is done and that leaves 17 weekends to get organised for the race. It is also 13 weeks til our first race of the season at Brands Hatch!! That means one less weekend for getting one's sh1t together!!

There are many of us who have family commitments that are going to take up a large proportion of the remaining 16 weekends as well. Depending on your relationship with your wife / husband / girlfriend / boyfriend / children (delete those not appropriate) that could easily lose 50% of the remaining weekends.

That leaves 8 weekends to get the car prepped, engines built, spares source, drivers agreed, catering sorted, and at least one booze cruise to stock up on the fire water that will sustain you through the madness that will ensue!!

8 WEEKENDS!!!! Where does the time go????

I'm off to the pub!
