2 Layer Race Suits

Couldn't make my mind up whether to put this it Driver Matters or Technical but Technical won!

I was wondering what the deal was with 2 layer race suits, i thought that 3 layers was what i would be expected to buy to meet the regs but from what i can see in the 2007 MSA blue book simply states the acceptable standards being FIA 8856-2000 & FIA 1986 Standard.
Demon tweeks has 2 layers suits that are apparently FIA Approved in there racewear section. Can we wear these or wil it be a waste of my coin.

So long as the suit is FIA approved you can wear a two layer suit. Just get one that is to the FIA 8856-2000 standard
